On 4/17/15 I got engaged to the love of my life and best friend. This video doesn’t show the actual proposal because I have not edited that film yet. I did not feel pressured to do something special, but I wanted to make sure that this was a memorable night for the both of us. So it was hard to choose where I wanted to propose to Rachel. I started thinking about how I wanted to do it a month before the proposal. A week and half before the proposal I knew exactly how I wanted to do it.
I ended up choosing the place where we had our first date. Our first date was on my fraternities pref night at an Irish pub in downtown Louisville called Osheas. This place was special to Rachel and I and after Friday night It became more special. Our fraternity rented out the same venue as our pref night for a formal date night so Rachel and I were already dressed up and ready for the event. I had Rachel’s friend Shelby take her to dinner and I told Rachel I had to go to the venue early to help set up for the fraternity date night. When Rachel arrived my brothers in the fraternity and myself were in the back of the venue. Rachel walked up and everyone started to get quiet so she knew something was up. I brought her in front of the crowd and told her that I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life. I pulled out a box with a ribbon and opened it…It was empty. I acted like I forgot the ring at my place 3 miles away from the venue and I told her to stay there and Ill be right back. I sprinted out of the venue then played this video…
